Bono och Wyclef Jean får pris för sitt arbete för Mänskliga Rättigheter

Måste bara uppmärksamma att gott ledarskap och inspiration kan göra stora saker för vår värld. De två inspirerande själarna Bono (sångaren i U2) och Wyclef Jean har nu utsetts av The Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights till vinnare av Ripple of Hope Award 2009. Priset kommer att delas ut under en galamiddag den 18 november.

De utsågs med motiveringen: “As champions of justice, Bono and Wyclef have brought the national spotlight to human rights violations, empowered local activists, and transformed the lives of millions of people living in poverty from Port-Au-Prince to Darfur,”

“Their efforts evoke the spirit of my father and we are honored to recognize them“, säger Kerry Kennedy, grundare the RFK Center for Justice and Human Rights.

Bono har även startat organisationerna ONE (som jag rekommenderar att ni går in och skriver på) och RED som säljer varor till förmån för AIDS sjuka i Afrika (RED samarbetar med många av de stora bolagen idag).

Med gott ledarskap och stor empati kommer man långt.
